[MINIMAL SPOILERS!]
Greetings, all!
I've heard in D:OSII there are common (white), uncommon (green), rare (blue), epic (purple), legendary (orange), divine (yellow), and unique (gold) items. Ignoring unique items for now since they have predetermined stats, how do item rarities determine stats?
I've seen green items have a single + to something (STR, Thievery, etc.) sometimes with a secondary extra effect on weapons (like 10% to set Silence on a subject with no magic armor), blues have a + to two stats, and no appreciable difference in for purple gear.
Mind you, we're still in act 1 and have only found a single purple item and nothing more rare than epic.

Divinity Original Sin 2 Review
- Jan 22, 2018 The item’s level is more important than the rarity. I think of rarity as horizontal in terms of importance like you showed. The level is vertical in importance. A level 15 epic beats a level 12 legendary. Some items with special effects may be so valuable that you hang onto them for a long time (e.g. Teleportation gloves).
- Legendary Items Farming. Legendary Item Farming in Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition is known by various other names such as 'save-scumming' or 'Loot Farming'. It is essentially taking advantage of the game's random loot generator system using saved games. It is possible to save just before opening chests, trading with vendors or killing bosses.
- Unique Items in Divinity: Original Sin 2 will be covered on this page. Not only how it works, but the Unique Armor and their location will also be listed. Unique Weapons & Armor in Fort Joy.
Braccus Rex may be a bloody rotten cur, but he’s got some decent gear. This is a spear that once belonged to our friend Braccus, who you may remember from the first Divinity Original Sin game. If you don’t, here’s a short explanation: he’s a powerful source user who used his magic to torture and kill.
