Grundfos Control MPC is a control cabinet with a CU 351 controller that permits monitoring and control of up to six identical pumps connected in parallel. It comes with everything needed to get started, and contains software optimised for your particular application. Control MPC will minimise energy consumption and cut energy costs straight out of the box. With application-optimised software, you have complete control over the pumps in your system. Features such as automatic cascade control ensure the highest possible system energy efficiency.
As the only system on the market, Control MPC knows exactly which – and how many – pumps to control, and will optimise performance and minimise energy consumption based on user-supplied pump curve data.
With Control MPC, there are no communication barriers. You are free to choose between a wide range of operating languages, and Control MPC supports communication with monitoring equipment or other external units via a number of different fieldbus protocols:

Grundfos Booster that you connect to a Modbus network. Note that the Hydro MPC and Control MPC are available in two variants: with a CU 351 or a CU 352 control unit. They have different CIM/CIU connections, as described below. CIM solution The Communication Interface Module (CIM) is an add-on. CU 351 is a flexible control unit for controlling and monitoring of up to six identical pumps + a pilot pump. CU 351 serves as the controller for Grundfos Hydro MPC booster sets and Control MPC systems. The Grundfos ALPHA2 circulator with AUTOADAPT are predicated on: 65-years of hydronic experience of how pumps work in countless applications and operating environments; 15+ years of ECM motor experience in the market; ALPHA2 materials and design resist blockage from magnetite and iron oxide particles found in closed hydronic systems.

Overview

The CU 301 is a control and communication unit developed for SQE well pumps used in constant-pressure applications.


Applications:

The CU 301 control unit provides:

  • Full control of the SQE pump.
  • Two-way communication with the pump.
  • Simple pressure adjustments.
  • Alarm indication (LED) when service is needed.
  • Configuration with R100 remote control.
  • Configuration with Grundfos GO Remote.

The CU 301 communicates with the pump via mainsborne signalling (Power Line Communication),meaning that no extra cables are required between the CU 301 and the pump.
